How much does interior car detailing cost?
At Get Detailed MI, interior detailing runs from $100 for a coupe to $200 for an XL SUV at the base level. A car that needs shampoo, steam or extraction can need a deeper level, and we agree that before we start. The destination fee is $50 to $75 for one vehicle, reduced or waived when we detail more than one vehicle at the address.
What does an interior detail include?
Every interior detail includes a full vacuum, including the trunk and under the seats, every surface wiped and dressed, and the inside of the glass cleaned. Shampoo, steam and odor treatment are added when the car needs them. Please take personal items out before we arrive.
How much does mobile detailing cost?
At Get Detailed MI, mobile detailing is priced by vehicle size. At the base level, an exterior hand wash runs from $50 for a coupe to $100 for an XL SUV, an interior from $100 to $200, and both together from $135 to $270. A dirtier vehicle can need a deeper level. On top of that there is one destination fee per visit: $50 to $75 for one vehicle, reduced or waived when we detail more than one vehicle at the address.
Is mobile detailing worth it?
Mobile detailing is worth it when your time is worth more than the destination fee. You do not drive anywhere or wait. The work is the same standard as the shop. The fee is $50 to $75 for one vehicle, reduced or waived when we detail more than one vehicle at the address. It is not the right choice for paint correction or ceramic coating, which need the shop.
Do you use my water or electricity?
No. Get Detailed MI brings its own water and power, so you do not need to run a hose out or give us an outlet, and it does not add to your utility bill.
What do you need from me?
A parking space with a bit of room to work around the vehicle, and the personal items out of the car if we are doing interior work. That is it. We bring water and power ourselves.
What is the difference between mobile detailing and a car wash?
A car wash is automated and fast. Mobile detailing is hand work at your address: decontamination and a proper hand wash outside, vacuuming, surfaces and glass inside, with the time it takes to do properly. The spinning brushes in an automatic wash are also the single most common cause of the swirl marks that paint correction exists to remove.
How long does a mobile detail take?
Plan on a few hours at your address for a full interior or exterior detail. Size and condition move that: a three-row SUV that carries kids and a dog takes longer than a commuter sedan. We give you a realistic window when we quote rather than a number that suits our calendar.
Can you ceramic coat or correct paint at my house?
No, Get Detailed MI does ceramic coating and paint correction only at the Wayne shop, and we would rather say so plainly than take the booking. Paint correction needs controlled lighting to judge what you are removing, and every coating we apply needs a full 24 hours of controlled cure time. Both produce a worse result outdoors. The shop is inside fifteen minutes of most of our service area.
What happens if it rains?
For exterior work we will reschedule rather than deliver a compromised result. We watch the forecast and call you ahead of time rather than turning up and improvising. Interior work is unaffected by weather.
Is there a travel fee?
Yes. Mobile detailing has one destination fee per visit: $50 to $75 for one vehicle, reduced or waived when we detail more than one vehicle at the address. So it pays to book the whole driveway at once. We only travel within 15 miles.
Can you work in an apartment or office parking lot?
Usually yes, as long as we have room and you have permission from the property. Mention it when you request a quote so we can plan for it.
